I have a 240V minimix 150 and its about 3 years old. The switch has started the old failing to hold routine and to get the mixer to keep going you need to hold your finger on it.

I have tried replacing the switch with a new one but it still does it. So can anyone tell me what else might be the culprit as my labourer is developing RSI.

Cheers

I think it must be wired up wrong as it elctromagnetically holds the switch in. There is a wiring diagram on the net somewhere I found when I put a new switch in mine (although mine is 110v)

you are quite right my man! took the covers off and blew the cobwebs out of my electrical brain, and the diagram on the side of the switch was enough to make it clear. Must be more careful in future
