I am always getting kind, young, slightly chubby, vest wearing men offering to give me a great deal so they don't have to throw the materials away.

With an Irish accent? Yep, we get them too, maybe the same ones - Always in an untaxed, uninsured truck of some type, with an 'HIGHWAYS' board on the back, orange lights. The last one, a few weeks ago, insisting my drive was a disgusting mess, and wanting to make it even worse.

How do you check the insurance ? ,I know you can check tax and MOT on the Gov website

It only confirms the vehicle has some insurance on it, it is not able to confirm whether, or not, the person driving it is covered to be driving it.
