Sure to be the ring element below the ceramic....I get a lot of these bits, and advice, from Forresters of Bedlington 01670 823033. Canny lads and lasses if its not too far away.

If you can disconnect the electric supply, release the hob from the worktop and turn it over, its usually only a few screws or similar to remove. These things aren't usually assembled very well!
