I have a heating system zoned by Drayton zone valve actuators. One of them sticks open sometimes - not every time.

If I tap it with my finger it works - just like magic.

Everything else works okay.

Could the cause be the valve or the electrics behind it please.

Thanks

it is mechanical with a micro switch .. they are not very good to be honest .. but easy to swop .. as you dont need to drain down ..

personnaly i would replace the top only .. although the bodies do sometimes fill with crud and sieze up wich in turn burns out the motor..

a proper job would be to swop for a honeywell lots better .

It is marked as a ZA5. The system was installed new 4 years ago.

Is that an 'old' type?

Thanks

Should be ok. Available from any major plumbers merchants or parts suppliers.
