Moving hot water cylinder into the loft

Hi,

I live in a top floor flat where space is of a premium. I was wondering if I could move my hot water tank into the loft? This would create a lot more space for me and would seem to be a fairly easy job. ie 3 pipes and some wiring.

Could it really be that easy? Do I have to be concerned about the temperature it can fall to up there? (The actual roof isn't insulated to my knowledge). Is there anything else I should be aware of?

You would need to consult the manufacturer's data for the HW cylinder as they need a minimum head. You will probably need a horizontal cylinder.

Excuse my ignorance but is that the vertical distance between the cold water tank and the hot tank?

yes the bottom of the cold feed tank to the top of the hot water cylinder.....you may be able to fit a fortic tank which is both tanks in the same unit.....no good for power showers though.
