Mounting accessories in kitchen cupboards

Can somebody please tell me if it is against regulations to mount sockets inside kitchen cupboards, as i was under the impression it was against building regs or whether that was a guide...or you have to fix them to the fabric of the building.

The regs say that isolation and effective means should be suitably placed for ready switching, so getting passed pots and pans to switch of an appliance means no.
 
It is in the Guide to the building regs by the IET, but was told on this site it does not apply.
No one said why though
