Just 1st fixed a kitchen, and client instructed me to have individual switches for the cupboard downlighters, under pelmet lighting and kick board lighting, all 12v....so I have put my drops in, and found out the kick board lights have got a plug in transformer(adaptor) which feeds the block for the lights to plug into.

I have used 1.00mm T&E, but the leg to the kick board lights will have to be terminated into a socket, hence problem as is on the lighting circuit, could I terminate into a sfs then to socket protected by a 3a fuse and socket clearly identified.

I know this is not a good way but is there another way around this?

Thanks Katron.

You don't need the FCU.

A 13A socket fed from a lighting circuit is not ideal, but is occasionally required for situations like this. Providing it is clearly labelled, I don't see it being a real issue for concern.
