I think my spelling was amazingly good considering i had been on the p**s for ten hours. only getting er and ar back to front .Cant even spell normally when i am sober

get paid for sitting around and if i do get called out i get paid shedloads for standing about draining a system down....hmm...difficult.

get paid shedloads on g.a? Not how I remember it! Being called out all hours and doing all the rubbish jobs left over from the late shift with a tracker on the van and still having to work the next day all for a poxy time and a half! standby payment is a pittance. Wow.

there is no "tracker" on the van, do a search, this subject has been murdered some time ago.

i will agree that the overtime rates need looking at. time and a fifth during the week is one reason why they never ever see me doing overtime outside my rostered shifts. standby money is ok, again its all about playing them at their own game.

I bet the rest of your team follow you around correcting all your mistakes and fitting your wrongly diagnosed parts. People like you are the reason I left and just for the record I easily hit my targets month by month and was always top 3 on my patch all year long.

oh please, the old you are not clever enough to get another job line wears a little thin on this forum, you work for gloworm for gods sake.

im not into blowing my own trumpet for the likes of you but i have been offered other jobs within the industry and dont really want them. outside of installing BG engineers probably get the most variety out of any gaswork and they dont get to pick and choose their work either, i like the variety. BG are not the best employers in the world, but thats just the way it goes. i like the majority of the guys i work with and i always do my best to help them out and i like to think im well regarded for doing so. yes im a moody **** and i probably have the world record for holding a grudge but if you are fair to me ill be fair to you.

if you think that being the top dog for performance means you are a top engineer then you are far wrong. ill happily admit my performance is average but ask any of my customers if they are happy i doubt you would get a negative answer. the only ones who dont like me are the smartarses who dont deserve my time anyway. my recalls are low because im not scared to spend as much time or materials as i need to resolve the problem. ive said many times that BG dont reward you for doing your job properly.

you left because you didnt like it or couldnt hack it, no shame in that, i doubt i could be bothered with your job.

i disagree slightly, if you are doing well in one of the big three factors, gross/recalls, customer satisfaction or sales then you will probably never get the boot if the other two are average to poor. it seems we agree on sales not being an interest.
