Hello.
Had a problem with clogging of my boiler recently and the engineer suggested installing a magnaclean device. Is this worth installing in an existing boiler? Will it stop further blockages if it doesnt actually remove stuff thats already in there or do we need to have a 'flush through' of the entire system which seems quite expensive?
Thank you in advance for all comments and advice.

The magnaclean will eventually help, but ideally you need a proper chemical flush, then a magnaclean fitted.

They are not a cheap alternative to flushing.

I would

It will remove the stuff that is already in there because you will clean the magnet by running it under a tap.
I have fitted one recently and think they are a great product. If your engineer can fit one for you in a easily accessible position, you will be able to remove the magnet regularly and clean the cr*p off it.

I would advise a flush first though.

Andy.

Bear in mind that the Magnaclean "Pro" edition won't remove rust particles, so if your corrosion is in the advanced stage then you'll need the Magnaclean "TwinTech".

You might as well paint me Scottish and call me Prime Minister - I still won't have the faintest idea where you get your ideas from.
