A sad loss but i was surprised as i thought he'd departed many years ago
Has Pat Keysell made a comment?
Just read an obituary and it brought back memories of shows such as Playbox and Titch and Quackers

A sad loss indeed, I grew up with Take Hart etc, he always came across as a great bloke, he even inspired a lummox like me with no artistic talent to have a go. He will be missed and fondly remembered by millions.

A nice anecdote which may bring a smile in such a sad moment

The Titch and Quackers show with Ray Allen presenting and doing the ventriloquism.

"Tony Hart first appeared in the show in 1963 and operated Quackers as well as doing a drawing feature.

For the most part, operating Quackers was a thankless task until Lulu appeared on the show one day and clasped 'Quackers' to her bosom - a most memorable moment for the then young Tony Hart."

Diamond geezer.

I met him in 1968, as a boy, and for one shilling (which went to charity) he drew me a cartoon of a monkey chasing a monkey. I still have it.

probably had a deeper meaning, he must have seen something in your psyche!! what do you think?

Always seemed like a nice chap. He made a lot of children very happy. I hope he knew how well liked he was by the British public.

For those that might be interested, you can leave a comment in a Remembrance Book on his website.
