anyone tell me what a boiler overrun is please.

It's actually a pump over run, controlled by the boiler.
When the boiler is told to switch off by the external controls, the boiler keeps the pump running for a set amount of time to dissipate the heat from the boiler.

is this something that can be fixed or replaced because the boiler will not switch off by the room stat or the timerand where abouts on the boiler is it
If this is a new problem, it won't be caused by the pump overrun.

then it sounds like the heating one is stuck open or the micro switch is stuck.
