I have a customer who is converting his quadruple garage into a gym. So the four 100W single flourescents are going to be changed. He doesn't like the colour temperature and they're a bit dim anyway.

My first thought is to change for 6' twins and use warmer tubes, but I think he wants something a bit more stylish.

The ceiling is low (7'6") so I have limited choice.

Any creative ideas?

PL Downlights?

Use single 11/13w PL downlights, and plenty of them, for a low ceiling. If he can afford a quadruple garage  then he can afford this

It's true, money is not a problem. His wife got her Mini Cooper stuck in a snow filled ditch last week. Instead of driving his Aston Martin DBS back home to pick up his Overfinch Range Rover in order to pull her out, he popped in to the local Land Rover garage and bought a limited edition Defender to do the job.
