Can someone help me out here. The problem has only just happened, l switched my computer on and where my volume icon is there is a red circled cross and it says No Audio output installed so l have no volume. l have not deleted or removed anything so where would my volume control be. Would be grateful for any help on this.

Windows disagrees; as far as it is concerned, your sound card is no longer installed. Right click My Computer, choose manage and take a look in Device Manager. What do you see ?
