I thought i would have a go at cutting the hole in our brand new worktops with my laser guided jigsaw....
thought things were going really well when i glanced at the hole i was sawing to - i was going to miss it by at least half an inch......
panic attack kicked in, explained to wife that i was only following the laser beam.
so she took over then announced that the blade is not in line with the light !!!
anyway turned out that my measurements were so conservative that she managed to save the worktop....
we then put the sink into a perfectly sized hole, then whilst installing the now perfectly cut 95 inch worktop into a gap of 94 and three quarters it duly snapped at one of the weak spots by the sink cutting ..........
i don't think there is a suitable smiley for how i am feeling about this......

well chap.....

you have my sympathies... all I can say is it must be a girly thing as my wife tries to gt the 17ft car intoa 16 ft space with regularity :D :D

measure 3 times cut once  ..........know the feeling boggie42.

A laser-guided jigsaw?! Why didn't you just stand the jigsaw on its end and use the laserbeam to cut the tops instead? ;)

Moral - cut the worktop to size first and make sure it fits.

Then you cut the holes in it.

And use the spellchecker!

Have I missed something? I haven't detected a single spelling error in this thread.

i thought that - just could not see the point in getting into a pointless arguement. seemed like a petulent reply really to an otherwise innocuous topic

Yeah you're right - no spelling mistakes. The only errors I can see is that the OP starts his sentences in lower case. Also, some of his punctuation is slightly out. Apart from that its 10 out of 10! :D

What dictionary are you using IJWS15?

My guess is that he foresaw the wrong spelling of 'petulant' before it was written.

How did he do that?

Agreed, and it seems to be happening more and more of late, and it also seems to come from the same little clique of forum users.

He spelt I incorrectly. he spelt it as i instead of I.
