Possible Sites For Nuke Power Stations

I'd love to have windmills around here, not to close, cos there a bit noisy but I think they look nice and stuff, don't understand why so many folk are against them. don't want one of them nuclear power stations tho, thanks.
cheers

Windmills are nice and clean. But they often standstill on the coldest days when there is most demand for electrical power. And if the wind is too strong they have to be shut down.

And sometimes they burn. Tall and far out of reach of the fire brigade they have to be left to burn out. Lots of toxic materials burning, material that it is illegal to burn at ground level.

Me neither - they are an eyesore up on the fells. Catch them at the wrong time of day and they can act like strobe lights with the sun - not nice if they put one up close to your house.
The latest fad seems to be to build them out at sea.

remarkable, this thread meandered into wind farms.

clearly they are more visable than nuclear power stations.
you would be surprised how many actually really have, and have had for so many years.

Could Paisley, Renfrew or Linwood be considered?

It wont be an eye-sore up there.
Most people look like they have radiation poisioning anyway.
They all need a job up there.

The only downside is that they will find a way to smoke, drink or inject it.

Actually, it must be better than buckfast fae the locals.
