dextrous

I know I'm leaving myself open to obvious abuse here, but what is the stupidest question and/or subsequent responses you've seen on the forum?

I look back with fondness to prettyblond, or whatever her name was, asking advice about connecting her electric hob using .5 lighting flex.

everything (almost) by Dr Drivel, Big Burner & Water Systems.

That twit soggy also seems to have talked a load of carp aswell :D

Ban them all!

remember one a couple of years back in tools and mats

"can anybody tell me what this is" and the pic was of a rawlbolt

with rawlbolt stamped on the side

Not here but I once worked in a shop. No word of a lie, a bloke came up to me and asked, 'Here mate. How much are your 99p Light Bulbs?' He was ever so slightly embarrassed when I looked at him for about 10 seconds saying nowt and it dawned on him what he'd said. :?

OH I can remember one.

Reminds me of when my brother and I went to the sweet shop and he asked how much the penny toffees were.

"Tuppence" the shopkeeper said.

"Can I have one then?" asked my brother and gave the man 2d, (YES! Thats how long ago it was! )

'Penny Toffees', God they were good weren't they conny? Bring back Penny Toffees I say. That'll sort out the world economy.... especially if they're charging tuppence for them! :D

They have the old style hand made sweets at 'Beamish' which is a working museum near me (other side of the Tyne River). They have an 'old style' sweet shop in the town there. I'm not really a fan of the museum but the sweet shop helps make up for the miles you have to walk around the museum.

Don't know if its apropriate but this is an extract from a certain other Forum:

Hi

I know its gonna sound like sacrilege to most of you but........

I have a 53 plate 1.5 dynamique diesel with 205 /50/ 17 alloys on it

trouble is 3 of the tyres want changing and i cant afford it

any one know if 165 / 65/ 13 off a clio would fit ok because someone on ebay is selling 4 with
almost new tyres on and they are not far from me

not sure if the car would be safe or not with the8se on

Haven't been there for a while, but it's interesting (for a bit!)

Yeah I agree dex. When we go over (me, my wife and my young son), I drive over and get her to drive back. I'm right into 'old style pubs' so naturally I like to have a look around the one there and obviously it would be rude not to partake. :D

Have they done anything with the "mine" area. Last time I was there, there were a couple of rusty old bits of machinery. Thought something could be done to tidy it up - maybe a working engine or something.
