I need to replace the F-Connector and the question is this - is there only one "F-Connector" that fits the Sky Satellite Coaxial Cable?
It's 7mm in dia but I wouldn't have the foggiest notion as to whether its RG6, WC100/H109F/CT100 or WF100 (names I got from www.satcure.com - dont know what they mean!)

It may well be stamped on the side of the cable every meter or so.
I think F-Type connectors are pretty standard in size, especially if you specify what you want it for.

F connectors come in all different sizes, and in crimp on and twist on varieties - you want the twist on ones (unless you have an appropriate hexagonal crimp tool) and to take a tiny bit of cable and / or the old connector to somewhere like maplins - you need to make sure that the outer insulator fits into the connector itself (bearing in mind that you'll have to wrap the shield back around it to make the ground connection so it can't be such a tight fit that this is impossible), and that the inner insulator (the white stuff) fits into the hole inside which guides it into the middle (not as important with the twist on as with the crimp on, but still a good idea).
Just be thankful it isn't BNC you're trying to terminate with, that's a right pita...
Can't say a specific size for sky cable, as different engineers use different cable by preference, sky use subbies who may not use standard stuff, and all the engineers carry shotgun cable for use with sky+ / sky HD which is smaller per core anyway.

A ha ..... I had looked around the cable but not for the length mentioned. It is Webro WF100, if that's any help?

That's a CT100 sized cable, good stuff too, nice and thick with a good dielectric - you need CT100 sized F connectors.

Hi, I'm in a similar situation. My cable says

CAR63 DUAL250-BLK CARACAL 166 METER

so I'm not sure which F type connector I need. The Maplin website lists the following twist on F connectors

CT100
RG59
CT125
RG58

does anyone know which one I should order? Thanks.

It won't be RG58 as that's 50 Ohm cable, CT125 is large diameter low loss cable usually used for trunk runs so also unlikely, RG59 is 75 Ohm but rater lossy. Sky installers, and good electricians, will usually use CT100, WF100 or a similarly standard cable, so my vote goes to CT100.
