I have exrract fans fitted in my both bath rooms,one in wall and one in ceiling both controled through light pull switch.both are standerd size.the one fitted in ceiling has stopped working altogater while ligh works fine.do they normaly have internal fuses.i am also thinking replacing them both .are there any available with timer but could be pull cord one.thanks

They do not normally have internal fuses.....if they are the standard type that stop when the light is switched off you will not be able to replace them with functioning timer models unless additional wiring is installed..pull cord models would be possible but would still only work when the light switch was on unless again you installed additional wiring.
If its loop in system cant you change switch live for permanent live.
at presant i believe we have sw live and nutral in fan.if sw in light is taken out and connected in live,wile fan has pull switch.would,nt it work this way.
Yes that would indeed work ,but then you have no means of local isolation to the fan,,for maintenance etc...the pull switch only being integral functional switching...must admit I have seen it done this way, same for Bathroom mirror lights etc but personally dont like it....its your call !
Where does the ducting from that one run?
ducting goes straight out side roof.
