Is this untidy or is it just me?

OK, so the wiring is reasonably neat inside, however it appears that various circuits aren't RCD protected that should be - given it's obvious that the cables have been buried in a wall at less than 50mm deep etc...

So no EIC certifying compliance with BS 7671:2008.

Such compliance is not mandatory, but I wonder what he claimed would be the method of compliance with the Building Regulations, which is mandatory?

Also, if he is registered, don't all the schemes require their members to work to BS 7671:2008?

If he isn't registered, did he apply for Building Regulations approval in advance?

Some more questions for your customer, John...

I wonder if the guy who did this work greets his customers with "howdy pardner", and has left him with no paperwork and an installation which is in breach of the Building Regulations?

John - your customer isn't just over the border into Yorkshire is he?
Why?

I dont think the inside of that is too bad. Its a little messy, but just because its not up to the standards of, say, RF lighting, doesn't make it a complete ballsup.

Junior hacksaw.... tinsnips.... Araldite....

I bet the guy who did these could make it work...
