I cant get my boiler to ignite.when there is a demand for hot water or heating,the boiler does not illuminate the ignition indicator .then the burner lock out indicator is illuminated.i have tryed to turn the control to the reset position but it will still not work. any ideas?

It could be one of several causes but as Kev says you need a registered gas engineer as this is gas/safety related.
If you dont bother to have your boiler serviced regularly then it may well result from the lack of servicing !

might be worth checking someone hasn't thrown some shoes in the understairs cupboard and knocked the gas off!
