Customer phoned to say boiler display as gone off and boiler no longer working in heating or hot water modes. fuses have been checked and there is 240v at boiler terminals. Any idea's :?

thats what i thought but the last time i changed PCB Ideal then told me i should of changed the fan as well. (different fault)

What model Isar is it? HE or M series? Make a good check of boiler for water leaks too. AAV on M series can drip down onto connecting cable from PCB to user control and short board.

Its approx 3 years old, I think its an HE.dont think its been serviced since new.

Fans are notorious for taking out pcb's on these.

You will need to check the fan before switching on with the new pcb fitted.

Follow MI's to do this.

Went to have a look today, Isar24HE 3 years old this month. 240v either side of rocker switch, 240v going to main PCB but no display and nothing working, Spoke to tech they said its main board, I've checked resistance across fan 110 ohms they said thats ok so just replace board. phoned curzons been quoted £130 plus vat :( so back tomorrow and hope it does the job the customer is 76years old and ****ed off.
