Hi All
Decorating my kitchen, the missus asked me if we could have the radiator removed to get rid of the ugly pipes, I said Yes easy. Or so I thought. I had done this before so I already had two "Stop Ends" to use and set about the task straight away. Turned off the water drained the system, removed the rad, cut the pipes under the upstairs floor boards and attached the two "stop ends", It took me about forty mins but most of that was getting the floor boards up. So job done I turned on the water again checked for leaks and bleed the rads. Everything seemed ok, then I ran the tapes a little but when it came to the hot tape there was no hot water so I checked the boiler and there was no pressure. So I increased it using the filling loop to just over 1bar. Magic the boiler light came on and hot water kicked in. Then I noticed the pressure was still going up and was not stopping, I used the pressure release to take it back down turned the taps off and checked again and it was still going up, I checked the filling loop was closed correctly and it was but the pressure still keeps going up to max. Now it wont stop until I turn the water back off.
Please any advice would be welcome.
