Leaking radiator valve spindle

Long story..... but, in short, I'm trouble shooting the pressure dropping in a sealed system.

If have turned off a few radiators. If the rad valve is leaking around the spindle, would the water be coming from the radiator side or the pipework side? Or could it be either or both?

Radiator side usually...spindle leaks show up when the valves are turned fully on. Turning them fully off should (hopefully) stop all leaks.

bit of both, usually turning on fully will stop/stem leak. Depends on valve construction if gland can be tightened/re-packed. Don't go bezerk with big spanners.

I loosened the gland nut, twisted some PTFE tape into a strand and packed it in tightly round the base of the spindle. No leak now.
