Light and power socket to conservatory

I wanted to get some power sockets and light fitting to my conservatory. In the garden was a PIR light which was fed from a socket inside so I have an electric cable to the conservatory.

I plan to have a light fitting and a double power socket if possible, I see my garage is wired with a fuse whcih then feeds a PIR and a doubel socket so wondered if I need to do a similar thing, although as my electric cable in conservatory is fed from a light swicth not sure how this complicates things.

There is so much wrong with your post that I dont know where to begin.

I must advise you to seek the services of a competent electrician in the first instance, because your post implies an obvious lack of understanding of basic terminology.

"pir light fed from a socket" - wrong.
"i plan to have a . . . double socket" - wrong. you will inevitably need more.
"although as my electric cable in conservatory is fed from a light switch" - but you said its fed from a socket. Make your mind up.

im guessing, power comes to light switch, into conservatory, to plug and socket, then to pir.

question 1, where does the power for the switch come from? if its from the lighting circuit, then the plug/socket arrangement for the PIR is even more wrong, if its from a spur, is it fused?

either way if you truly have no experience in this, you need to give us more info, and pics, or get someone who does know a bit more to look at this.

ok, I feel like a naughty schoolboy! to clarify the pir light was fed from a light switch in kitchen as this switch controlled the pir, now removed. I can see no fuse swith, there is one about 50cm away but I am sure that is for the washing machine .

I probably will get a sparky its just nice to have an understanding of it too.

to clarify again the pir is removed cable just loose with some tape on end and switch off!

I guess I can easily wire a new indoor light myself and get a sparky to run a spur from existing power socket in kitchen?

Yes. The light would be controlled by the switch indoors (though you could easily link it out and put another switch in the extension)

And yes, a socket could be spurred off the kitchen ring (Though like I said before, you will probably end up needing more than 2 sockets and kick yourself that you didnt do it to start with). 2 double sockets is easily done by using a fused spur.

All cables must be run in safe zones, and concealed cables must be RCD protected.

Ok, the light switch is right by the door to the conswervatory so will leave in position.

The extra sockets I think I will get a sparky in to do, though I only have one wall as its a full height lean to conservatory. So it is likely to be 2 doubles next to each other.
