position of bedroom light advice

what is the correct position for a bedroom light? is it as central as posible or is it slightly back or toward the window?

There's no correct position, only the position which suits your needs. My preference is central but years ago they used to position them closer to the window to reduce shadows.

Yeah, rewired a lot of older houses with the bedroom lights alot nearer the window than off center, back in the days when people cared about modesty!!

Thats from when a glimpse of stocking was something shocking.

It still is, depending on who's modelling them at the time
