Running a cable between the front door frame & brick wal

I would like to run it vertically, top to bottom and then under the floorboards. i don't need to run it at the top or bottom of the door frame. Would that be ok?
No. it is not a recognised safe zone, and someone may just nail in some architrave round the door, or drill through for a doorbell.
Why not run it up the corner of the room. You are allowed to do this.
