Last year we had a 2 storey extension buildt, this was at the side of the house going front to back.
we had 4 knock throughs done from the house into then extension.
looking at the house from the front, the house roof ridge runs front to back.
the extension roof runs at right angles to the house roof.
what was an external cavity wall (brick + block) is now an internal wall separating the house from the extension.
the roof trusses of the house, sit on the house inner leaf block work, what was the side external wall is now an internal wall.
has anyone buildt an extension and removed this wall? its not supporting anything above but i guess it is giving support to the inner leaf that is supporting the roof.
obviously would get calcs done first.
