its been like that all weekend m8, no one was using it looks like dave may have had enough, sad if thats the case as that site has helped lots of up and coming spreads with their probs

Probably been abducted by one of his enemies - but which one?

A) a speed camera
B) a Zionist banker
C) anyone a bit foreign-looking
D) a fuel pump
E) a southerner using a sponge float

sad day chaps, i had a lot of help from that forum as i did from this and not sure where i'd have been now without it.

Dave put a lot of hard work into that at his own personal cost, wish he'd managed to get it ranked on google better, think that was the main problem

TM,

His main problem was his own ranting on about other stuff.

The forum traffic could have attracted advertising, but what advertiser would want to be associated with a site whose owner openly despised other religions, races and nationalities, did not seem to like anyone who disagreed with him, and had a paranoid conspiracy theory on the go more often than not?

That's why he lost traffic and thus could not get the advertising to sustain his costs.

Be serious, this is an internet forum!

The guy was very helpful to people, I know that - and was keen to share info on plastering to all.

My point is that the site failed as a plastering resource because he allowed other issues to get in the way. I advised him that this would happen. We all have our opinions on politics etc etc - and there is nothing wrong with that - but from a purely businsess perspective my comments stand.

Look at the banners and links on this site - how long do you think they would be here if the site not only allowed, but actually endorsed, the kind of content that was on ukspreads?

It's a pity, because he had a good little thing going there and could have grown it. Perhaps he'll get it going again.

Have a look at your reply to me and have a little think - would that kind of reaction to different opinions have been a factor in the demise of the ukspreads traffic ? 8) [/b]

i dont think dave was interested in making money on uk spreads, his passion for plastering and his willingness to help was what he was about, i know he had strong views about things but he was upfront and dident hide anything, just a while ago some one was selling his dvds on e bay probably making more money out of them than he was but his attitude was well i knew that might happen one day, i think he would have kept uk spreads going if people was using it, i got to know dave quite well, as i was an admin on there and often chatted through pms, and i know some of the posts he put on there was not the norm, and dident make sense to some people, but i can see through that, i for 1 will miss uk spreads
on a lighter side i think the southener using the sponge float may be me :)

well i know the mm30 was daves thats why i value it so much, dave told me to go and buy it off you when you was advertising it lol, but yes if ever i did sell it you get first dibs

im not to sure about the lead looks like the lead on the mm30 was changed as well i knew a spread who would change his 240 plug for a 110 plug when ever he had site work i wouldent advise this to anyone though, if i were u i would leave the lead as it is, the more money you spend on it the less of a bargain it will be, if you go and send it to refina and buy a new paddle like you said u was going to that will cost well over £100 + the 80 you spent on it you may have well have bought a new one
if i was you i would just run it into the ground, i used to have another mm2 with a yellow 110v lead, why dont you post this question in the electric section ? a clued up sparky may tell you what is the best lead
to replace it with
