There is a Focus near me. Never use it though, as prices seem steep, and other chains offer better ranges.

FFS  Daughter - in -Law works there. Recession over - house prices rising - MY ARSE

I think Focus have been trailing other retailers for a while.

It's not so much to do with the economy, just that other DIY chains have upped their game, and Screwfix/Toolstation make Focus's prices look silly.

You're right about the economy though Nige. UK can't afford itself any more.

Our local Focus closed down a couple years ago.

I found them better than Homebase for DIY, but not as good as B&Q or Wickes.

I think Homebase survised to long as they do more than just Tools/Materials.

Not surprised, as others have said their prices have always been ridiculous. Our local one was shut a few years ago and a Wickes opened on the site!

I can only hope that Wicks take over mine, otherwise I will be doing some serious extra mileage.

Tesco should take them over. They know a thing or two about retailing and are as big as they can get as a supermarket business. Diversification?

Will we get two for the price of one?

focus was always a joke. half the shelves were empty. they had no clue on pricing.
