Should they be evicted? Currently the travellers have won a stay of execution pending a court hearing on Friday.

Personally I would bulldoze both sites.

Personally I would bulldoze both sides with the ****** in them.

Yes they should be evicted.

They built illegally on green belt land without planning permission.

Ten years ago when they started building the local council started legal proceedings to get them to stop, it's taken this long and who know how many millions of pounds (from the local taxpayers) to bring matters to a conclusion.

When the travellers handed in a petition to No10 Downing Street it had 1600 names on it.
Wikipedia says Basildon & Billericay areas immediately adjacent to Dale Farm have over 200,000 residents between them.

Let them stay.

They may end up on my, or your, patch instead

These people are always bleeting on about being treated differently and wanting to be treated the same as the rest of us. Well I agree, if one of use built on green belt land we would soon feel the full force of the law, so to ensure that they get to feel that we are treating them the same, kick their thieving ases out.

Nevermind Thatbloke will be along shortly to defend these "Travellers" (who have stayed in one place for 10yrs (an oxymoron if ever there was).
Anything built illegally should be bulldozed into the ground. Costs should be awarded against the illegal builders. If that happened I'm sure they'd clear off rather sharpish.

These travellers , contravene almost every law of the land , then bleat on about human rights. FFS

I like the references to them about " others have left and bought land" Why, as well pointed about they are "travellers". Another word could be nomads. Or as they use when arrested "Of no fixed abode" So how come they want this land then?

Sod off and travel.

Just had a friend in Ireland say to me, "dont evict them. They might come back here ". So well loved even in their spiritual home then as well!!!

One of the rotund, hard-faced ***** 'ladies' was on the BBC news today. To quote her word for word - 'We're not breaking the law. It's the law that's making us break the law'.

WTF.  I'm sure there's some logic in there somewhere. With ******, it's never their fault. They're always persecuted and misunderstood.

As for clearing the site: just give me 10 minutes, a megaphone, and the keys to a challenger tank.

You're travellers. Go and travel. (Just not down to the south west though!)

Wonder what would happen if they set up store in say St James Park and started slaughtering the swans. Am sure that the powers-that-be would be equally as slow to evict.

Nah,, Prince Philip would be round there with his trusty Purdy's under each arm. They'd soon get the message.

There are a couple of ****** camping out along the Thames - walk through Dukes Meadows towards Barnes Bridge. Alarm knows where I mean

One of the Pikesses was on the radio saying that the council was ruining the lives of four hundred people - No mention of the homeowners in the area who's lives have been ruined by the constant thieving. No mention of the local family pub that has had to close because of the trouble caused by the travellers. No mention of the cab drivers that had to stop pick-ups in the area for fear of being attacked or just ripped off.

SEND IN THE ARMY!

Haven't we got some old oil tanker or something - they could try gypping out at sea then.
