Dale Farm

Don’t normally get involved with General or post but feel compelled on this one. Having lived quiet near to Dale Farm for some 30 years up until 2004, today’s load of legal "do goody" crap makes my blood boil. I’d send in the SAS; kill the stupid activist who chose to put her life at risk by concreting herself to the gate, if she dies then tough. Deport the rest of them (who probably aren’t British anyway), destroy the vans/prefabs & bang up for as long as possible any “travellers” that won’t comply with laws that everyone else is obliged to. An added benefit will probably be that the local crime rate will dramatically drop as a consequence.

Then I’d “seriously” contaminate the site so they won’t want to move back again once it’s all quietened down because that’s what is going to happen. I’m not convinced that’s not an agreed agenda anyway; "planning honour" would be satisfied, the “travellers" get another 20 years & it’s another £100, 000,000 up the bloody spout. The UK is just a soft touch when it comes to crap like this, even their homeland doesn’t!
Can;t help but feel that there's a much simpler solution. Since the council decides what can get built where, then they could quickly and easily give planning permission to that 40' tall prison wall around the site in question. ;)

Long day Richard C! :p

Don't think i've ever seen a post like this before... Everyone agrees....

and i agree too, these ****** don't give a fook about the law unless they can use it to suit their needs...

And if they're travellers, they must have caravans to tow behind they're brand new Range Rovers mustn't they?

It's an outrage !!!

Why are these 'travellers' on a site for ten years? That implies, that they are NOT travellers, but settlers? They buy land, it has no planning permission, then build on it. The irony is that these people ARE travellers, that don't travel. So make your mind up, you are a traveller, or not. No planning permission. By your own definition, bugger off.

Want to explain? The scumbags built on land that did not belong to them - are you saying that you support them?
They DO own the land.
They just don't have planning permission to do anything with it.

Thought they owned half of what is shown on the pictures but had no planning for either section.

They own the lot the front half is a legal site the other half is illegal and has no permission.

Can't understand why they keep moaning they have nowhere to go.
If they got of theirs arses and moved 10ft onto the legal site that is moreless empty.

The problem isn't just the planning permission etc it's the problems they have caused around crays hill in the local pubs etc.

Let them stay where they are. At least they're not bothering me.

NIMBY!

Everyone agrees about what? The ****** deserve all they get?

So what planet are you on tonight.....
The real one where the decent law abiding citizens of this country, our country, deplore the shambolic activities of a so called travelling community. Have they integrated into the community to help their cause? It appears not - it appears that they might have caused problems in the local village / pub etc. It appears that they have never been wanted in the Basildon area. You, apparently, live in Hampshire - loads of open space all around. Why not contact Basildon Council and advise them that you are willing to have them in your neighbourhood.
I hold my hand up and admit that I was wrong. I didn't realise that they owned the land and a thanks to Ricardus for putting me straight. That doesn't take away the realism of what they and other so called 'travellers' cause havoc. Look at the trouble that is caused and the amount of rubbish on their sites. Basildon Council will have to pay out millions to remove these crap people. It has lasted years and they are not welcome in Ireland, yet we have to suffer and pay for them.
They and other immigrants are more than welcome to frig off home to their open armed countries.
Get real Gerrumph and smell the coffee.
