Electric underfloor heating advice needed please.

I have a small conservatory that is about 2.5m square. It us cold in the winter and roasting hot in summer. I want to get more use from it in the winter so I fancy electric underfloor heating. The floor is currently ceramic tiles on concrete slab with no insulation as far as I know.

I intend to use a kit underfloor heating kit and get a tame sparky to hook it up. I ideal want Lino or similar softish floor as it's going to be a child's play room.

What can I do to get the best from underfloor electric heating in this situation? What should I be looking at doing about insulation, floating flooring? Etc.

I've done lots of household refitting before but never used underfloor electric before so any advice warmly welcomed.

Do you intend to rip the tiles up or lay on top?
It would be a good idea top have a level surface to lay on top.
So regardless of what your subsurface is it wants to be level.
Then depending of the kit you buy, which should offer instructions.
You should be looking at getting something like 6mm insulation boards, then your heating mats, a vapour barrier and then base board, top board prior to lino.
The system you purchase my differ a little.
The floor level will raise by about 15mm.
Do you have an idea of the kit you are buying?

Underfloor heating won't solve either of those problems.

Underfloor heating is typically 200w per m2 or less, which is far too little to heat an uninsulated space such as a conservatory.
