Where would i source a fitting for a 2D 20W 2 pin lamp? I presume it's a batten type fitting? Tlc dont seem to list one.

A batten fitting uses a linear tube anything up to 8 foot long,

2D lamps go usually in sguare or round enclosed fittings.

A 21 watt 2D lamp exists but quite rare and usually high frequency control gear and therefore 4 pin

isn't there a reduced-wattage version of the 28W?

A bit like there's a reduced wattage version of the 500W linear floodlamps.

You guys were quite right, it's a 28W, my mistake. And the circular, enclosed fitting is the correct term not a batten ( no matter iv'e always called them battens, i guess that i've always been wrong with my terminology ).
I think that i'll pull the in-situ enclosed fitting, ( a dim 16W, too small to take the 28W,) and fit a rose. Thanks for your replies.

It would not have been wise to fit a 28 watt lamp in a 16 watt fitting anyway as the control gear is different.
