Patching Asphalt (Tarmac) Pavement

I have just installed a new front garden wall and need to repair the damage caused to the asphalt pavement. The area which need re-tarmacing is around 4 metres in length and 0.2 metres in width. A couple of questions on how to undertake the work:

A) Will a couple of bags of cold tarmac and a tamper produce good results?

B) Do I need any other 'filler' product to pour over the tarmac to achieve a nice flat surface?

C) How would I go about bonding the existing tarmac to the new with a straight line (you often see a raised bitumen emulsion line between the two surfaces where repair work has been undertaken)?

D) Should bitumen emulsion be spread around before laying the tarmac on top?

Any other advice in regards to the repair work is very much appreciated .

That's great, answered all of my questions other than how to apply the "cold pour" in a straight line between the existing and new macadam? 'Spraying' it from that can doesn't sound like it will produce a straight line?

Also, that 'kit' sounds mighty expensive, no?

Does sound expensive, best shop around.

Use a watering can for the cold pour, without the rose attachment of course

That's never going to create a straight line haha. Maybe masking tape and a roller? Or is cold pour too thick to be 'rolled'?

Thats what the guys use when repairing the roads..

That's a right mess in that video haha!

If anyone does know of a method to create a neat straight bitumen line, I'd love to hear it .
