The film style can be emulated in software :P
. I want a picture and not an over/underexposed missed opportunity, so I am happy for the camera to do the work (that's what I paid for) and me just to compose and press the button at the right moment.

Woody do you mean that you still have to compse and shoot manually?????
Nowadays there are cameras that take away even that chore-

You are of course correct about digital technogolgy being able to emulate the effect of film, but to me photography isn't just about the final image it's all about the whole experience of getting it and that's what I love about film , it's the feel , the tactileness, simplisity and even the smell of old cameras that I like. I wouldn't say my film is better than my digital or vice versa, I can take good and bad with both :D
and besides when the most evil villians in the universe use film who am I to contradict them?

I do miss popping open a 35mm canister and having a sniff. I have to make do with new Argos books nowadays for my hits

Also the lovely sound of a motordrive
