Why all the bg engineer bashing?

We bg engineers have got nothing to do with price, as for the other probs if the custard complains then it would get sorted if fitted incorrect, how many independants that make mistakes do you know go back and sort them, what i'm saying is that there are more good bg engineers than bad as with independants. It just seems that if you work for bg then your fair game for abuse.

If we check our laptops for parts and theyre not available then we check with our parts desk and manufacts p/desk i honestly dont know any enginner that has done this, again as for price not our fault.

Yet to find a BG 'engineer' that is any good with a length of copper tube and a bender , i've NEVER seen a quality install EVER.

Defend all you like but can show you a good number of BG installs.

I bet you probably could wizard as i could with independants jobs i get to go and tidy up, out off 7,500 engineers your alwaysbgoing to get some carp jobs.

There are good and bad on both sides. One of the best I ever came across was an Ex BG fitter who used to work for me ( he died over xmas). There was very little he didn't know on almost any subject. Then there are some who you wonder how they actually survive

Wizard if you have proof of bg engineers being "crooks", the you should do something about it m8, then maybe i can come on these forums and not have to bother about stating that i work for bg, all i can say again is that i dont know any engineers that work in my team that gets up to any of the stuff being posted on here. I think the question i aske at the start off this thread has been answered thanks to everyone that replied. Biscuit77

You asked why all the BG bashing and you were told , truth hurts sometimes get over it , you might know the cafe i'm talking about (N3) ;)

Lets not forget who started this thread. ;)

The truth hurts?, nah m8 it doesn't. The whole point about this thread was to me it seems like there are a lot of people that like to jump on the bg bashing bandwaggon, i just wanted to say like raden there are good and bad on both sides. F&@k me this is getting to serious. I'm off to bed. :D

I have no beef with you Biscuit just the outfit you work for. :D

3 million jobs a year and 7 thousand engineers your always going to have the odd genuine horror story .

But there is probably 1 engineer on every patch who thinks fek all about ripping people off for as much as they can because of the rewards for this.

Then with the pressure for sales with the threat of displinary hanging over engineers heads if targets not hit i doubt if there is a single engineer who has not sold a customer something they didnt really need at that time. Wether this is engineer or customer led ie customer believing 10 year standard letter that boiler requires changing and engineer agreeing instead of being honest and saying na it will last another ten years yet.

So basically you all get tarred with the same brush.

Example of conversation with 4 patch managers .
Thats jim just been on the phone managed to sell a 2000 quid repipe cause that 500 quid powerflush on the one pipe system didnt work .
All managers laugh and say wish we had more like him , i said wtf is he doing flushing a one pipe it will never clean it.
Replys where in unison so it`s money into the patch.
Wont even mention power flushes sold for sticking trv`s or simple cold feed blockages.

But on the whole i would still like to believe that the majority would do a genuine job the same as if they where working for their own granny or parents and the fek ups are down to the lower standards of training they now get and not constant rip offs
