The bg engineer left out the Thermostat Phial when servicing the Boiler, the boiler overheated.

Very easy mistake, a lot of engineers out there have done the same.

The independant was called, instead of simply placing the phial back into where it should go, he charged the customer for unecessary work.

So who's in the wrong?

Nobody forced the customer to arrange a quote for a new heating system.

I actually get alot of repair work from failed bg repairs who try and sell them a new boiler

WRONG.

The bg engineer left out the Thermostat Phial when servicing the Boiler. Very easy mistake, every engineer has made the same mistake.

You forget how stupid the general public are, if Watchdog say so it must be true.
