white flooring

Hi everyone.I currently have laminate flooring in my bedroom but my better half has decided she would like a bright white look.Can anyone advise which way to go about this.I have looked around place that stock solid wood but nothing is near the bright white she wants.Would it be easier to lay some sort of natural wood and then paint,if so can anyone advise which wood and paint and wether thid needd lacquering etc.

Do you know whether you have original timber floorboards under your newer laminate floor.

If so, a great way to do it would be to take of the laminate flooring and underlay to expose the floorboards. Then sand the floorboards using a floor sander which you can rent from a local tool hire shop. The floorboards may then be painted using wood floor paint like the stuff Little Greene do.

Hi,no its just weyroc/chipboard underneath this.
