Hi, I am having a new combi boiler fitted in my 2 bed house soon (1 bathroom). The old combi is very old and not worth replacing, it is about 12 years old +. I have had a few quotes from local companies, and all have recommended different boilers! I am not sure what the best to go is, it's not the cost, I just want a reliable combi.

I have been advised to have a Worcester Junior, Ideal Logic and a Glow worm Ultracom, so am not sure what is the better option!

From your experiences I'd be very grateful to know what you'd go for, even any other make that I have not mentioned if reliable and a good quality boiler?

Thanks for your help and reading my post.

Ideal have a long 7 year warranty. If they honour it.
I dislike Worcester. Glow worm nice little boiler.

I did hear worcester are reliable but also heard different opinions! How do you mean Dan about the installers abilities? I don't know any of them personally

I have also been advised to have a magnaclean fitted to help ptoect boiler, which I will also go for

It is AS important to get an installer that knows what he/she is doing, and does it properly.

Any boiler is likely to fail if not installed correctly. the two I mentioned are more resilient that ANY other though.

Magnacleans are a good idea.

one installer recommended getting the system cleaned before (not powerflushed but cleaned with chemicals before starting the install).
