Did you notice me waving when I passed you on the hill this morning?
:D

they are great for muddy building sites, theres nothing ljke tramping a 100 yds over a muddy building site with a chop saw in your arm's

never really understood 4x4 bashing, they are no longer and no higher than a large car, ok they are higher, but they don't take anymore space up in a car park than say a jaguar.

I meant wider, sorry!

Best snow car I ever owned was a subaru legacy AWD. Far better than the vast majority of 4 x 4s on snowy roads. Especially the ones driven by Texans. Need good tyres though, no car is good in the snow without good tyres. Only advantage a 4 x 4 has over a subie is if the snow is so deep that clearance becomes an issue.

A rear wheel drive jag which is utterly pitiful if it snows.

ford capri 2.8. my cousin had 1 and was always spinning it with gentle throttle.
ended up have a couple of bags of sand in the boot.

I think some (most) people object to the " Chelsea Tractor" mentality of inner city housewives , who feel the need to drive something akin to a tank, just to drive their kids the 400yds to school in the morning, then pick them up again in the afternoon, by the same means.
You know the sort I mean,, women driving something, quite a lot bigger than they should , legally be allowed to even look at.

no, its not that, its just simple physics no amount of weight in the back will solve the problem, the front wheels will always go where they want to, they have no traction at all, it's bloody awful!!!
