This Woolwhich event has made me dig deeper into what Islam is about and why there is no peace in the middle east and basically it boils down to this.
There are TWO muslim ideologys.
This is why there will NEVER be world peace EVER.
One ideology defined as SUNNI and derivative groups believe in the continuance of religious caliphates as Sharia Law imposition and the ruling only by religious leaders with no recognition of any political parties or democratic elections.
The other side are SHIA and their derivatives who are Muslims in religion but agree to ruling by Political leadership and the managing of a countries resources and infrastructure by democratically instated leaderships or historically dictatorships or Tyrannies.
They abide by civil laws created by ruling governments.
A Shia for example would go to university and study and perhaps become a GP and work as a professional.
Sunni's on the other hand shun education and burn schools.
The bit I can't get to fit together is where in the Sunni ideology does work and creating income come into it. Everyone cannot simply follow the quran all day long and there must be some element of actually providing for your family...

Well, yes , but you need to step back a bit first.
There are three major Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) who are also represented out there. They all have their axes to grind and are essentially trouble and in one way or another hate each other.
Then you break Islam down as you said, and they are trouble too. The Syrian civil war is all about sectarian hatred within islam. Throw in the sectarian hatred between Judaism/Christanity/Islam and you have a real mess on your hands.

Personally, I'm sick of these people. Thirty years ago, I was only vaguely aware of muslims, and had no idea about islam. Muslims were obviously in The UK, but you hardly ever saw or met one.
Now these people are everywhere, making demands, bellyaching and at the far end of the spectrum, causing murder and mayhem, not just in their own backward countries, but now ours.
We are told by law not to dislike them, but their actions and attitude means that they will never be any use to a modern, reasonably civilised society.
When will the people that run this country wake up, and stop pussy-footing around with muslims?

I was perfectly aware of them as long as 45 years ago. My father hated them even then, and probably not without reason.
He had bought an off-licence shop in Bradford (where I was born and brought up) and tried his best to make a go of it. Not long afterwards, Pakistanis moved into the neighbourhood in droves and some of them opened a similar shop on the next corner. OK, that was their right, but my dad soon lost all his custom due to 'white flight'. OK, that wasn't really their fault either.
What really ****ed my father off was that, whilst they were buying and setting up their shop they kept asking to use our telephone - we were the only people in our neighbourhood to have one - and my dad was happy to let them use it. What he didn't know, because they always spoke in Urdu, was they were using his telephone (free of charge) to make arrangements for setting up their shop in direct competition to his. My dad had no idea of their intentions and they never mentioned it to him of course.
He always thought of this as being underhand and never forgave them. His business failed and he had to sell up and move out at a great loss.
There are no white faces in that part of Bradford now.
Hearing your story, it's understandable that you and your father feel aggrieved. In a way, your father's situation sums up several aspects of not just muslims, but immigration as well.
Firstly, it demonstrates the well-meaning indigenous population not being fully aware of fact that by helping muslims, soon you will wish you hadn't. It is now happening in the UK as well as other countries (witness the recent race riots in Sweden of all places). Many come here for a better life or 'fleeing oppression'. Before long, the indigenous population that is paying through their taxes to feed and house these people is the target of the incommers.
As your father found out, there is no intergration at all. They keep their money within their own circle, and will avoid doing business outside their own community. The indigenous population soon find themselves alienated in their own neighbourhoods, towns and cities are eventually changed, becomming no-go areas for the original inhabitants.
In the South West, we have got off reasonably lightly - for now. However, Bradford, and many other cities in the North, are largely unrecognisable. London is like another country these days.
London is not Britain, it is too cosmopolitan and too wealthy to be considered typical of the UK.

Thank you. Certainly, my father felt hatred for these people; I don't share that hatred, but I do feel strongly about certain things:
Firstly, I am concerned that immigration to this country is now at dangerous levels. Politicians, of course, talk a great deal but do nothing. Our so-called Border Agency has shown itself to be completely ineffective and, even if they were effective, our hands are tied by the EU over-ruling our best interests and ordering us to allow unrestricted immigration.
Secondly, most ethnic groups - with one notable exception - who have decided to come and live here do so and just get on with things. They can still retain their beliefs and social practices but don't insist that we make changes to our way of life to suit them.
So there are my stated opinions. What it boils down to is that I would like:
Britain to revert to being an independent nation and regain its sovereignty;
and that no one ethnic or social group should have the power to dictate to us that we must change our laws just to suit them.
I defy anyone to accuse me of racism, yet for a long time now making such suggestions has resulted in such accusations.
