Good, bad or ugly?

This is the wiring installed on my house for the shower....

I think it looks terrible and must be totally against every code in the book.

Thoughts?

Cable not supported, external influence (UV) issues and possible water ingress at cable entry points.
Other than that, ugly.

There's nothing wrong, per se, with the cable taking that route, as long as it is properly installed. Yours hasn't been.

Are you sure they're not cut bricks? - there doesn't seem to be many of them, I would have thought not really enough for it to be a 9" solid wall with any sort of bond I've heard of.

I'm not forgetting that bond, but if that's what it is (and if you are right about it being a solid wall, with those few bricks being end on), there is perilously little bonding the two halves together! I suppose they could have used ties, but that would seem to be a very odd way to build a "solid" wall!
