I am in the process of buying a house. It does not have cavity walls and a survey has found no lintels above the UPVC windows (max1.2m width). Apparantly former owner had wooden windows replaced with UPVC but didn't realise the woodn windows were actually load bearing.
What recommendations do you have for fitting lintels above windows in this case? Preferably without too much damage internally.
Thanks.
