I've criticized the Muslims on this site in the past for not coming out and condemning the atrocities that have been carried out in since 9/11, the only one I saw was Saria Khan, now Amir Khan has openly criticized the actions of the terrorists, no shrinking violet IMO he has the balls to speak out, a brilliant boxer and a great role model for all..

I'm afraid it's going to take more than that. Eg. in France, they have put 1,000 soldiers on the streets because of 3 terrorist outrages in recent days - all in the name of The R O P.
Someone went into a French police station and stabbed 3 policemen, before being shot dead. Another, a van was driven into shoppers at a Xmas market, killing one person and injuring a dozen. In another incident, someone went around driving their car into pedestrians. In two of the three incidents, the perpetrators were heard to shout 'Alan's snackbar', or similar. It's getting out of control in France, as it will here. Eleven per cent of population is already ROP, and many cities (Marseilles being the worst/most dangerous) have areas called 'sensitive zones' (ghettos) where emergency services, etc fear to tread. Sharia law holds sway in these places.
I know I go on, but what sort of world do we want to live in? How bad do we let it get before something has to be done?

I read in the paper today that the Household Division guards who publicly guard royal palaces and the like are now being placed behind protective fencing for the very same reason. They are also bringing in armed police to guard the guards.
I don't know whether the soldiers are permitted to carry loaded weapons. I suspect not, as they are really there just for show these days, hence the armed police. Personally, I would prefer the 'armed' soldiers to be armed (if not already).
But what a dreadful state of affairs, that steel fencing needs to be put in place due to the threat of muslim terrorists in our own capital city.
I know what would be an effective response to the threat, but I don't think it's 'politically correct' to state it on here.
