No looks as one piece.

I'm going to have to mark the hole positions with something tiny, jobber out a 3mm hole to take out most of the waste so I can sink the screw in by hand, and then tighten them up using a screwdriver I can just about get in there

Try taking out the Circlip in picture two .

I've done pretty much every DIY job under the sun and still find myself having buying new tools

I actually have a small screwdriver which I bent to right angle myself for getting at the small grub screws behind kitchen taps.
