Good Afternoon

This is probably dead simple but I'm putting in a door contact (Reed witch) on my front entrance.

I have 4 core cable from it to my RKP. I can see how to wire up the door contact side... however where abouts do I connect the Door Contact inside the RKP is it on Area 1 /2 ? (Im sure they are labelled area rather than zone) Then on keypad/wintex just setup area 1 as entry exit ?

Thanks

once wired to the keypad zone, you need to address the zone on the keypad to a zone number that's available. That is done in wintex under keypads or in keypad setup in engineering.

Then you program that zone, in zones in wintex or zone setup via the keypad.

OK my next question is Ive run 4 wires to the Door Contact, Red/Black , Blue/Yellow... Blue Yellow is tamper twisted... Red and Black connecting to the contact screws, but where exactly on the keypad zone do I wire them up ? I can see zone 1 and 4 terminals, I'm guessing 'A' will be my Red/Black and T as my Blue/Yellow... does it matter which way round these wires go is what im getting at ?

seriously?

the colours of the wires don't matter, what matters, is the reed goes to the Alarm terminals and the tamper goes to the tamper terminals.

The colours are irrelevant or more accurately relative, ie what you do at one end needs to match up at the other.
