Hi folks, just planning a Texecom Prem Elite 48 install. I will be installing an RKP at the entrance door and planned on running the mag contact and the PIR for that location from the RKP.

I know this is "supported" but what are people's experiences with this? Any issues with power when supplying a DT PIR from the RKP?

Run a 8 core alarm cable to the keypad
Use the spare cores to take power from your devices back to the control panel.

Cheers! 8-core is planned already, never know what might come along, so that will work out nicely.

It’ll be fine, you could run two DTs off the back of the keypad. If in doubt there’s no harm in doubling up cores on the feed power to the keypad.

you can certainly run two DT's no problem, if its a long cable run to the keypad then it may suffer, but doubt it be long in the grand scheme of things
