The apologista will be out in force tomorrow. ;)
They already are. Just listening to a BBC News female reporter informing an interviewee that we can't just assume that they are m... (oops, nearly caused a thread delete there).

Can't find any reference to the nationality or religion of the murderers. Strange that.

  • At least 120 people are feared to have been killed in a series of devastating attacks across Paris.
  • Eight attackers also died, police say, seven of them by detonating explosive suicide belts.
  • Police continue to search for accomplices who might still be at large.
  • Two hundred people were injured, 80 of them seriously.

It is possible that it was a group of Rolf Harris supporters who feel that the length of his prison sentence is barbaric.

Animals are out.

Supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS) militant group appear to be celebrating the ongoing attacks in Paris on Twitter.

Paris is currently embroiled in a night of terror, with dozens of hostages trapped inside the Bataclan concert hall. Dozens more have been killed and injured following a shootout and two explosions that occurred during an international soccer game. On Twitter, one of the main hashtags about the attacks, #ParisIsBurning, seems to have been co-opted by supported of ISIS, who are using the Arabic translation, #باريس_تشتعل., which roughly translates to Paris in flames or Paris ignites.

Some of the tweets containing the Arabic hashtag contain photos from the scene of shootings earlier this evening, while others say “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is great.” Newsweek is unable to confirm that Twitter users using the hashtag are supporters of ISIS.

100 hostages in a nightclub.

Surely not reprisals for Jihadi John?

I'd say not directly in reprisal , or at least if it is it would show how very organised IS is to react so quickly , probably one of those unfortunate timings of history. It is difficult , however , to see who else would have instigated these attacks and I personally can see the event will have implications outside France's boarders , it's certainly not doing Merkel's position any favours.

When one of them gets killed, we cheer and jeer. When one of us gets killed, they cheer and jeer. There's no real difference and so the only realistic solution would involve a complete annihilation of one side by the other. The problem as it stands is that whereas "they" have the will but do not have the means, "we" have the means but do not have the will.
