20-26 ways required but cannot find anything that is wide as opposed to tall?

Any recommendations?

Proteus (I'm sorry, none of the good brands seem to make them) do a 26-way isolator only board. Item number: AYXLM26
The next one up is 30 and that's a double row

And a HI Dual RCD board with 22 outgoing ways is AYXLMDSLV22

Since your title specifically mentions an "Amd3 CU", do I take it that this is for a domestic installation? If so, I guess it must be a pretty big place!

Kind Regards, John

Well Proteus are actually British Made Products to inspire confidence over far eastern equipment!

Have you ever fitted Proteus?

Threes stories:
Cellar
Ground floor - 2 front rooms, 1 large lounge/dining, 1 kitchen, 2 shower rooms (1 electric).
First floor - 3 beds, 1 shower
Second floor - 4 beds, 1 shower.
Burglar alarm
Fire alarm
CCTV

There is plenty of width but not enough height in the mounting location. Looking at the current Wylex and Hager dual row offerings, they are 500mm and 486mm high; respectively.

The 20 way Hager I linked to states width – 470, height – 240.
I would have thought 20-way enough. How many circuits are you planning?

I would sacrifice a couple of circuits to fit it in a Hager board over a Proteus any day, but I'd still want at least 2 or 3 spare ways.

Burglar alarm can go on with the CCTV. And is it an actual Fire Alarm or just a smoke alarm?

Are those second two showers both electric? If so, how big a supply is it, and have the DNO OK'd the three showers?

Kind Regards, John

Only 1 electric shower planned - an unvented cylinder and system boiler for the rest.

It will be a grade 1 fire alarm system (heat and smokes) with panel.

Happy to consider circuit arrangements.. any suggestions?

OK. No problem there, then.

On the face of it, it's not really all that extensive an installation, despite the three reception rooms and 7 bedrooms. In fact, the First and Second Floors (just bedrooms) represent very little. Have you considered running a submain up to separate CU for the Second Floor (or even First and Second Floors), thereby appreciably reducing the number of ways required in the Grounf Floor CU?

I live in a 3-story (plus cellar) house, and have at least one CU on every floor (including cellar).

Kind Regards, John

I'd prefer to keep to one CU if I can.

Having integrated the cellar with burglar alarm and cctv, I was thinking of:

1. Sockets - cellar (includes burglar alarm, cctv)
2. Sockets - ground
3. Sockets - kitchen
4. Sockets - first floor
5. Sockets - second floor
6. Sockets - external front
7. Sockets - external rear
8. Lights - cellar
9. Lights - ground (inc kitchen)
10. Lights - first floor
11. Lights - second floor
12. Lights - external front
13. Lights - external rear
14. Shower
15. Boiler/central heating
16. Fire/smoke alarm
17. Dryer
18. Freezer
19 - ?? spare
