Hi,

I have a Alpha Intec 26c combi boiler. I want to fit and single channel Hive thermostat/Receiver. (I will get My registered electrician friend to do the fitting)

Currently My boiler already has an Alpha 24hr wireless programmable room thermostat. So I just want to replace this receiver with the Hive receiver.

Please can anyone give me some advice on the wiring, my friend has not fitted a hive before. I have attached the current wiring of the wireless receiver and the provided wiring diagrams. The hive receiver will be fitted just below the boiler and some 5 core will be run up to the boiler.

Looking at the wiring diagram I expect L & N on the x3 terminal on the boiler board can be run to L: Permant Live & N: Permant Netual on the Hive Receiver. Its just the two red wires labeled 3/3 in the pic that i'm unsure about?

Thanks

Based on your photographs:

Wire 3 in the boiler should connect to Common at the Hive (Terminal 1)
Wire 4 in the boiler should connect to Heating On at the Hive (Terminal 3)
